About

Art Palma Contemporani, the association of contemporary art galleries in the Balearic Islands, has been active since its foundation in 2004 in promoting the cultural life of the city and bringing new artistic languages and new creators closer to the public. At present, Art Palma Contemporani is made up of the galleries a66 Gallery, ABA ART, Balazsi Gallery, BARÓ, CCA Andratx, Galería Fermay, Hauser & Wirth Menorca, LA BIBI, KEWENIG, Florit / Florit, 6a Taller i Galeria, Galería Maior, Galeria Pelaires, Galeria Reus, Pep Llabrés Art Contemporani and Galería Xavier Fiol.

Every year since 1997, the associated galleries have organised La Nit de l’Art, the keynote event in Mallorca, which marks the start of exhibition season on the island—and over the years La Nit de l’Art has become a red-letter date for the island of Mallorca and for the Visual Arts sector, notably Spanish and international collectors, cultural agents, and lovers of contemporary art. 

Art Palma Contemporani has added two other annual events to its programming: Art Palma Brunch, since 2005, and the former PalmaPhoto, which became Art Palma Summer in 2016, both of which already have a prominent place in Mallorca’s cultural calendar.
